Line Count

All rates are based on the industry standard line definition of “65 characters including spaces”.  Only the space between words is counted, while empty lines, tabs, headers, footers, standard templates and hard enters are not counted.  We use the standard Word Count utility of Microsoft Word© to calculate characters and spaces.  If you like, we can provide your daily 65-character line count figure for you during your transcription service free trial to give you a better idea of our charges.
